Cat out of the barrel
We beat the cat out of the barrel and announce the cool cat kings, cat queens and the best fancy dress costumes.
It takes place on Sunday, February 16, at 10.00 in the Sports Hall.
Holiday with Shrovetide party
Combine a mini-break with our glorious Shrovetide party where children can join in the Danish tradition of “beating the cat out of the barrel”. We also choose this year’s cat king and queen, and offer entertainment for the whole family.
Registration
Participation costs 55 DKK per person, including a Fastelavns bun and coffee/tea or juice. Free for children under 2 years old.
Face painting
We offer face painting to make the Fastelavn festivities even more magical, with no limits to the imagination. Face painting costs 25 DKK and is paid on the day.
Meet Monky Tonky and Maja
The two sweet monkeys love Fastelavn and are excited to meet all the lovely children at Lalandia. Come and say hi to Monky Tonky and Maja as they walk around and join in the festivities.
Remember your costume
Remember to find space in your suitcase for your costumes when you go to Lalandia.
We look forward to seeing tough ninjas, beautiful princesses and spooky ghosts for perhaps the world’s most fun “cat out of the barrel” celebration.
